Windmill Garage late 1960s |
The Windmill Garage is a family run business, situated in the picturesque village of Outwood,
Surrey. The buildings where originally the forge and
coach works and as with so many forges, where turned
into garages with the arrival of the motor car.
John Davison took over the premises in 1966 and
now runs the business with his two sons, Stephen
and Chris.
Including the
partners there are seven staff, which
coincidently is the same number of staff
as there was in 1924 when it was a forge and the blacksmith also
had two sons working with him. The garage is
larger than it first appears, as it has
eight bays with four ramps, of which one is an
MOT testing area.
The customer
base covers a very large area, which ranges from
areas such as north London to Brighton. The majority of our business has been built
through word of mouth, which we like
to think speaks for itself. |
